Manage Scores and Events using the Pitchero Club app

Overview

Webmasters (with access to Teams) and Team Admins can use the Pitchero Club app to enter scores and key match events during the game and after the game.

The easy-to-use features are great to record the key moments of the game and for the information to update the club's website, the Club app and the club's social accounts in real-time.

Enter a live, half time or full time score

Step-by-step guide:

• Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
• Tap 'Matches' towards the top of the screen
• Tap on the fixture
• Tap 'Highlights' on the right-hand side of the screen
• Tap '+ Match Event' at the bottom of the screen
• Tap 'Update Score'
• Enter the score
• Enter the period of the game (e.g. first half, second half, half time, full time)
• Tap 'Save'

The score updated score will show on the club's Pitchero website, and for members with the Pitchero Club app.

The half time or full time score update will also send a push notification to the member's Pitchero Club app, and be updated on the club's connected social accounts.

Enter match events during the game

Step-by-step guide:

• Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
• Tap 'Matches' towards the top of the screen
• Tap on the fixture
• Tap 'Highlights' on the right-hand side of the screen
• Tap '+ Match Event' at the bottom of the screen
• Tap the event type (e.g. goal/try, substitution, card, award)
• Enter the event details
  • Team the event is for
  • Period of the game
  • Minutes in the game
  • Which player(s) the event relates to
• Tap 'Save'

The match event will show on the Highlights screen for the fixture in the Pitchero Club app and the club's Pitchero website.

Members with the Pitchero Club app will receive a push notification (subject to their app notification preferences).

The match event can also be shared with the club's connected social account, showing a card with the match event details.

Troubleshooting

This section covers common troubleshooting queries:

• Unable to access the admin features on the Pitchero Club app.
  • The admin features are available to users with the Team Admin role of a team, or the Webmaster role with full access to the Teams area. These features are not available to users with the Coach or other non-admin roles.
  • If you need the Team Admin or Webmaster role, you can apply for the role via the Member Roles section of your account with the club. Any roles you apply for require moderation by the club.

  • You can contact the club directly for further assistance.
• A match event/score update has been posted on Pitchero but not shared on social media.
  • Match events need to be entered during the game for the updates to be shared automatically with the club's social accounts. This is to ensure the content is relevant and engaging for club members.
  • Social sharing access is managed in the club admin dashboard by the club's Primary Webmaster.
  • X has a rate limit on posts that can be shared from the Pitchero platform (across all Pitchero clubs, not per club). Unfortunately, X will not change this.
• Can I update scores and events of the game for cricket?
  • The scores and events feature isn't currently available for cricket clubs. This is primarily due to the complexity of the scoring system in cricket.
  • Cricket clubs in England can connect to league competitions managed on the ECB's Play-Cricket.com league system which automatically brings in the league fixtures, results, table and scorecard within 24 hours of the data entered on Play-Cricket.
