Manage Team Selections using the Pitchero Club app

This article provides information on using the Pitchero Club app to manage Team Selections on Pitchero.

Create a team selection

Using the new Pitchero Club app

Step-by-step guide:

  • Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
  • Tap 'Matches' towards the top of the screen
  • Tap on the team's fixture
  • Tap 'Manage Lineup'
  • Tap 'Choose player' from one of the starting lineup or substitute positions
  • Tap the player's name

    • You can search by the player's name on the screen
    • Use the player availability status and filters to help gauge who can play/which players are eligible to play.
  • Repeat the previous step to complete the lineup

Top Tips:

By default, the Team Selection is set to Not Published while it's still being created and edited by admins. Once you're ready to publish the team selection (to the selected players only or to all members) see the 'Publish a team selection' section below.

The Team Admin/Webmaster can select the captain for the game (cricket teams can also select the wicketkeeper too). Step-by-step guide:

  • Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
  • Tap 'Matches' towards the top of the screen
  • Tap on the team's fixture
  • Tap 'Manage Lineup'
  • Tap on a selected player's name
  • Toggle Captain to selected/unselected

    • The team can have only one player selected as captain for the fixture. If a different player is selected as captain, the captaincy will be moved from the previous selected to the newly selected player.

Using the legacy Pitchero Manager app

Step-by-step guide: 

  • Log into your Manager app
  • Select the fixture from the 'Match Centre'
  • Tap 'Team Selection'
  • Tap the 'Field Position' you would like to fill
  • Tap the 'Player Name' for that field position
  • Repeat the previous two steps until the line up has been completed

 

Formations and starters

Using the new Pitchero Club app

Step-by-step guide:

  • Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
  • Tap 'Matches' towards the top of the screen
  • Tap on the team's fixture
  • Tap 'Manage Lineup'
  • Tap the formation name (next to Team Selection on the screen)
  • Enter the number of starters from the dropdown menu
  • Select a formation
  • Tap the 'back arrow' in the top left corner of the screen

Using the legacy Pitchero Manager app

Step-by-step guide:

  • Log into your Manager app
  • Select the fixture from the 'Match Centre'
  • Tap 'Team Selection'
  • Tap the Formation button
  • Enter the 'Number of Starters'
  • Tap the 'Formation' you would like to use

 

Publish a team selection

Using the new Pitchero Club app

Step-by-step guide:

  • Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
  • Tap 'Matches' towards the top of the screen
  • Tap on the team's fixture
  • Tap 'Manage Lineup'
  • Tap the downward arrow icon next to Publish State towards the top of the screen
  • Tap the team selection status

    • Not Published - Only Webmasters and Team Admins can view the team selection in the mobile app and the club admin dashboard
      The team selection is still being edited and/or is not yet ready to be viewed by selected players/the club
    • Players Only - players/parents can see they have been selected and can confirm their selection, but they cannot see who else has been selected.
      The team selection is subject to change based on player/parent confirmations and is not yet ready to be seen by the wider club.
    • Published to All/Members - All visitors/authorised members members can see the team selection on the Pitchero Club app and the club's website.
      The team selection is finalised 

Once selected, the new status will be automatically be saved.

Please Note:

Changing the team selection status to 'Players Only' or 'Published to All' will trigger a notification to the selected members/the club's members.

The team selection status should only be changed from 'Not Published' once the team is ready for non-admins (i.e the selected players/all members) to see it.

Using the legacy Pitchero Manager app

Step-by-step guide:

  • Log into your Manager app
  • Select the fixture from the 'Match Centre'
  • Tap 'Team Selection'
  • Tap the 'Slider' to Publish team selection

 

Monitor confirmed attendance for the fixture

Using the new Pitchero Club app

Step-by-step guide:

  • Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
  • Tap 'Matches' towards the top of the screen
  • Tap on the team's fixture
  • Tap 'Manage Lineup'
  • A tick or cross will show whether the selected player has accepted/declined the invite

    • Separately from the tick/cross for the player's selection response, you can see the player's availability status on the selection screen too based on the circle colour around the player's photo.
      • Green - available for the date
      • Red - unavailable for the date
      • Amber - maybe available for the date
      • White - availability not set for the date

Using the legacy Pitchero Manager app

Step-by-step guide:

  • Log into your Manager app
  • Select the fixture from the 'Match Centre'
  • Tap 'Team Selection'

If a team selection has been created, there will be a tick or a cross next to the player's name if they have confirmed they are playing or not playing on that fixture.

 

Manually confirm a player's attendance

Using the new Pitchero Club app

Step-by-step guide:

  • Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
  • Tap 'Matches' towards the top of the screen
  • Tap on the team's fixture
  • Tap 'Manage Lineup'
  • Tap on the player's name
  • Tap 'Change'


  • Enter/update the player's team selection confirmation status; 'Playing', 'Not Playing', or 'Not Responded'

The player's attendance status will update immediately on the screen.

 

Add the opposition's lineup

Using the legacy Pitchero Manager app

Step-by-step guide:

  • Log into your Manager app
  • Select the fixture from the 'Match Centre'
  • Tap 'Team Selection'
  • Tap the oppositions 'Team Name' in the top navigation bar
  • Tap the 'Field Position' you would like to fill
  • Enter the 'Player Name' for that field position
  • Tap the 'Slider' if this Player is the team Captain
  • Tap the 'Tick' at the top right of the page
  • Repeat the previous four steps until the line up has been completed
  • Tap the 'Slider' to publish the oppositions line-up on your website
