Players, parents and guardians can set/update their availability directly through the Pitchero Club app or using a web browser, making it easier for team admins to plan ahead, organise squads and reduce the amount of manual chasing required before a match or session. Once availability has been submitted, team admins can quickly view who is available, unavailable or yet to respond. This provides a clear overview of player numbers and helps to make informed decisions when selecting teams. Player Availability is especially useful for busy clubs managing multiple teams, age groups and fixtures each week. By keeping availability in one place, Pitchero helps improve communication between players, parents and coaches, while saving volunteers valuable time. ---     ### View player availability Players set their availability for the upcoming date and is a useful gauge for Team Admins and Webmasters to manage player numbers and enter a team selection for the team's fixture. The Team Admin or Webmaster's default view shows the players in that team and their status for the team's upcoming fixture or training session date. From time-to-time, the Team Admin or Webmaster may need to check the availability of players in other teams (e.g. the First team is short of players and needs to draw players from the Second and Third). Step-by-step guide: - Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone - Tap '**Matches**' towards the top of the screen - Tap on the team's fixture - See a summary of player availability for the upcoming date; Available, Maybe, Unavailable, Not Set ![](https://help.pitchero.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-4.png?width=336&height=727&name=image-png-4.png) - Tap '**View All'** to look closer at individual player availability **Top Tips**: - Admins can view the player availability status for each player, use filters to view the status of players in other teams and member groups. - Any notes associated with a member's player availability status are shown alongside the status for the date. - Admins can also prompt players to set their availability, or manually record a player's availability on their behalf. See the sections below for more information. **Please note**: Player Availability is used to track the availability of members with the Player role. The prompt will be sent as a push notification and/or email based on the user's own settings. **Top Tip**: The above information explains how to prompt all players (who have yet to set their availability) as a bulk action. Where possible, admins should advise members to set their availability directly on Pitchero as it saves volunteers time. The Team Admin/Webmaster can manually set/update a player's availability status manually on Pitchero. Step-by-step guide: - Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone - Tap '**Matches**' towards the top of the screen - Tap on the team's fixture - Tap '**View All**' in the Player Availability section - Tap on the player's name - Tap '**Change**' ![](https://help.pitchero.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jun-30-2026-11-16-29-8193-AM.png?width=336&height=727&name=image-png-Jun-30-2026-11-16-29-8193-AM.png) - Set the player's availability status for the upcoming date; Available, Unavailable, Maybe, Not Set ![](https://help.pitchero.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jun-30-2026-11-16-45-1309-AM.png?width=336&height=727&name=image-png-Jun-30-2026-11-16-45-1309-AM.png) --- ### Troubleshooting This section covers common troubleshooting queries: - Player availability for the day vs event. - Currently, player availability is set for the day, not the specific fixture or training session. - Event-based availability is currently in BETA and should be available to all clubs and users soon. - Player availability status has been removed from Pitchero. - Players, their parents, and admins can set/update a player's availability status any time on Pitchero (before the fixture/training session date). - If the only fixture/training session on that date has been deleted from Pitchero, players' availability status for that date is removed too. - To prevent this from happening, the admin could mark the fixture/training session as cancelled instead of deleting the fixture/training session from Pitchero. ---   ### Related articles Thanks for taking a look at this article, we hope that you found it useful.
