League competitions
This article covers connecting teams on your Pitchero Club website to a league or cup competition.

Overview
Pitchero houses a comprehensive database with information from thousands of league competitions.
This means multiple teams can use the same fixtures saving team managers many hours each week. It also ensures vital consistency and accuracy across competitions.
Connect to a league competition
The quickest and most effective way of managing the team's league fixtures on Pitchero is to connect to the division in our Competitions Database. In practice, this saves volunteers/admins hours across the season from needing to make manual changes to league table rows.
Webmasters with full access to Teams, and Team Admins of the team, can connect their team(s) to their respective competition(s) via the club admin dashboard.
Step-by-step guide:
- Go to the club admin dashboard
- Click 'Teams' from the left-hand menu
- Click the team name from the sub-menu
- Click 'Competitions'
- Click 'Join competition' on the right-hand side
- Select a competition from the list of suggestions or search for your competition

Click 'Connect'
Once the team has been connected to the competition, any fixtures listed for that team should appear on the Fixtures & results page, ready for the admin to enter additional information and manage the fixture for their members.
Please Note:
To update or edit the fixtures, results or table you must be a Division Admin of the division in our Competitions Database.
Division Admin access is open for the majority of competitions listed on Pitchero. The exceptions are:
- The competition is managed on the ECB's Play-Cricket.com system with an official integration with Pitchero.
- The competition is listed on The FA's Full-Time, England Rugby (RFU), or England Hockey (EH) and Pitchero obtains fixture/result updates on users' behalf.
- The competition is managed by the League on Pitchero.

The competition isn’t available to connect to
Top Tip:
If your league competition is managed by the League on the ECB's Play-Cricket.com system, the league divisions should be available for your team to connect to before the start of the season.
Once connected, changes/updates to fixtures on Play-Cricket should be reflected on Pitchero within 24 hours. For more information, click here.
If your league (or league division) is missing, you can submit a form within the club admin dashboard.
Step-by-step guide:
- Go to the club admin dashboard
- Click 'Teams' from the left-hand menu
- Click the team name from the sub-menu
- Click 'Competitions'
- Click 'Join competition' on the right-hand side
- Enter the league name in the search box
- If the league isn't currently available on Pitchero, click 'Request a competition'
- Complete the form details
- Link to your league
- Additional information relevant to the form submission
- Click 'Send request'
- The league only needs to be requested by one user. If the league has already been requested by you/another user, the form cannot be submitted again.
The completed form will be reviewed by our Support Team within 2 working days.
League competitions listed on The FA's Full-Time, England Rugby (RFU), Scottish Rugby (SRU), or England Hockey (EH) are more easily obtainable to enter into Pitchero's competitions database.
For other league competitions, the fixtures may be more difficult to add to Pitchero without the assistance of the user. Our Support Team may request that you compile the fixtures for the division into the fixture template and return it via email to be uploaded to Pitchero.
Once the league competition has been added to Pitchero, clubs can connect their team(s) via the club admin dashboard.
Please Note:
- The user should only complete the form if the league fixtures are listed publicly on the external site provided by you. We cannot add competitions to Pitchero that are not already available.
- The form is to request a league/league division. Cup competitions (such as The FA Cup, FA Trophy, FA Vase) will not be added to the Pitchero competitions database unless managed by the League on Pitchero. Cup fixtures should be managed by the team Pitchero manually, like friendly fixtures.
