We recommend U.K. clubs to switch to using Stripe Express for reduced payment processing fees. Clubs based outside of the U.K. can continue using a Stripe Legacy fee. #### Why switch from Stripe to Stripe Connect Express? Prices effective 1st June 2025 The key benefit of using Stripe Connect Express over Stripe is the cost of processing fees to the club. Due to our high transaction volume and unique relationship with payment providers, Pitchero can offer the lowest fees on a Stripe Connect Express account. Stripe also charge 0.7% of billing volume, [see here for information](https://stripe.com/gb/billing/pricing). This fee is absorbed by Pitchero for Stripe Connect Express payments. Stripe Connect Express payment processing fees | VAT status | Pro package | Standard package | Notes | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Registered | 1.84% + 17p | 2.42% +17p | VAT is removed from all fees. | | Not registered | 2.20% + 20p | 2.90% 20p | All fees include VAT. | Stripe payment processing fees | VAT status | Pro package | Standard package | Notes | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Registered | 2.42% + 20p | 3.33% + 20p | VAT is removed from the Pitchero fee only. | | Not registered | 2.60% + 20p | 3.70% + 20p | All fees include VAT. |   #### Migration to Stripe Connect Express U.K. clubs can create a new Stripe Connect Express account in the club admin dashboard. See how [here](https://help.pitchero.com/knowledge/payment-providers#add-payment-provider). The Stripe Connect Express account will work on Pitchero the same way as a Stripe account. Once a Stripe Connect Express account has been created, the club create new products (or clone existing products) in Shop and payments associated with the Stripe Connect Express account(s) and collect payments online from members. The club can update existing Match Fees products to be associated with the Stripe Connect Express account(s) and continue collecting payments online from members. #### Related articles Thanks for taking a look at this article, we hope that you found it useful.
