Overview
Before November 2023, clubs could create Stripe Legacy accounts to manage the collection of Credit and Debit Card payments from members online.
We recommend U.K. clubs to switch to using Stripe Express for reduced payment processing fees.
Clubs based outside of the U.K. can continue using a Stripe Legacy fee.
Why switch from Stripe to Stripe Connect Express?
The key benefit of using Stripe Connect Express over Stripe is the cost of processing fees to the club.
Due to our high transaction volume and unique relationship with payment providers, Pitchero can offer the lowest fees on a Stripe Connect Express account.

Migration to Stripe Connect Express
U.K. clubs can create a new Stripe Connect Express account in the club admin dashboard. See how here.
The Stripe Connect Express account will work on Pitchero the same way as a Stripe account.
Once a Stripe Connect Express account has been created, the club create new products (or clone existing products) in Shop and payments associated with the Stripe Connect Express account(s) and collect payments online from members.
The club can update existing Match Fees products to be associated with the Stripe Connect Express account(s) and continue collecting payments online from members.
