Manage training using the Pitchero Club app
This article provides information on using the Pitchero Club app to manage training sessions on Pitchero.

Create a training group
Using the new Pitchero Club app
Step-by-step guide:
- Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
- Tap 'Training' towards the top of the screen
- Tap '+' in the bottom corner of the screen
- Tap the Training Group dropdown and tap '+ Create New'

- Enter the group name and tap 'Create Group' at the bottom of the screen

You can then create training sessions within the training group. See the section below for creating training sessions.
Using the legacy Pitchero Manager app
Step-by-Step guide:
- Log into your Manager app
- Tap the 'Training' button from the navigation bar
- Tap the '+' button at the top right of the page
- Enter the 'Group Name'
- Click 'Save and Continue'
Create a training session
Using the new Pitchero Club app
Step-by-step guide:
- Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
- Tap 'Training' towards the top of the screen
- Tap '+' in the bottom corner of the screen

- Select a training group from the dropdown (or create a new training by following the section above)
- Enter the session details; location, attending teams, organiser, date, start and end time, whether the session repeats

- Tap 'Add Training Session' at the bottom of the screen

Using the legacy Pitchero Manager app
Step-by-Step guide:
- Log into your Manager app
- Tap the 'Training' button from the navigation bar
- Select a 'Group' from the list or create a new group
- Tap 'Add sessions'
- Enter the 'Location name' of where the training is to be held
- Choose which 'Teams' this training group is for
- Select which 'Organiser' you would like
- Enter the 'start date' (Date of the 1st session)
- Enter the 'Start' and 'End' times of each training session
- Select if this session will 'repeat'
- Select the 'Repeat end' (If the training session repeats)
- Enter a 'Description'
- Tap 'Done' to finish
Monitor player availability for the training session date
Using the new Pitchero Club app
Step-by-step guide:
- Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
- Tap 'Training' towards the top of the screen
- Tap on the training session

- See a summary of player availability for the upcoming date; Available, Maybe, Unavailable, Not Set

- Tap 'View all' to see which players have/haven't set their availability
Top Tips:
You can prompt players to set their availability for the upcoming date. On the training session screen:
- Tap 'View All'
- Tap 'Prompt these players'
- Tap 'Yes' to send the availability prompt

You can also prompt individual players to set their availability for the upcoming date. On the training session screen:
- Tap 'View all'
- Tap the player's name
- Tap 'Prompt for availability'

Using the legacy Pitchero Manager app
Step-by-Step guide:
- Log into your Manager app
- Tap the 'Availability' button from the navigation bar
- Select the 'Date' which you would like to check availability for
- Here you can see the current availability of the associated teams
Mark attendance for the training session
Using the new Pitchero Club app
Step-by-step guide:
- Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
- Tap 'Training' towards the top of the screen
- Tap on the training session
- In the Attendance section of the screen, tap the slider next to each member to mark them as attended

The attendance summary will update automatically showing how many players attended the session.
Using the legacy Pitchero Manager app
Step-by-Step guide:
- Log into your Manager app
- Tap the 'Training' button from the navigation bar
- Select the 'training group' (Select 'view all sessions' if this is now known)
- Select the 'session' you wish to mark attendance for
- Tap the 'Slider' next to each member to mark them as attended
Excuse a player who did not attend the session
Using the new Pitchero Club app
Step-by-step guide:
- Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
- Tap 'Training' towards the top of the screen
- Tap on the training session
- In the Attendance section of the screen, tap the member's name
- Record the player's attendance; Attended, Absent, Excused

Using the legacy Pitchero Manager app
Step-by-Step guide:
- Log into your Manager app
- Tap the 'Training' button from the navigation bar
- Select the 'training group' (Select 'view all sessions' if this is now known)
- Select the 'session' you wish to mark attendance for
- Tap the member's name in the list
- Tap the 'Slider' next to excused from attending
- Tap 'Save Changes'
Cancel a training session
Using the new Pitchero Club app
Step-by-step guide:
- Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
- Tap 'Training' towards the top of the screen
- Tap on the training session
- Tap the menu icon (3 vertical dots towards the top right corner of the screen)

- Tap 'Cancel'
- In the overlay, tap 'Cancel session'

Please Note:
Once a training session has been cancelled, it cannot be changed back to active. The training session would need to be created again.
Past sessions cannot be cancelled, but can be deleted from Pitchero completely (i.e. if you no longer need the data).
Using the legacy Pitchero Manager app
Step-by-Step guide:
- Log into your Manager app
- Tap the 'Training' button from the navigation bar
- Select the 'training group' (Select 'view all sessions' if this is now known)
- Select the 'session' you wish to cancel
- Tap the three dots in the right-hand corner
- Tap 'Cancel Session'
- Once confirmed you wish to cancel this session, you can let your members know by selecting 'Yes' to 'Notify your members that you've cancelled this session'
