Manage the club's website package subscription

This article covers the club website package subscriptions that Pitchero offers as well as how to upgrade, downgrade and cancel.

Overview (package tiers and upgrading)

Sign up for free or start a 30 day free trial with the Standard (£38/month) or Pro (£99/month) package. If your club is based outside of the UK, the currency will reflect this in your club admin dashboard.

There are core features that all packages include: club website, Club app, Manager app, videos and photo albums, membership, payments, and retail. See a full comparison between packages.

The Free package is limited to 1 team.

The Standard package includes:

  • Up to 20 teams
  • Custom domain name with 10 email accounts
  • An account manager
  • Reduced adverts
  • Transaction fees from as little as 2.6% + 18p

The Pro package includes:

  • Unlimited teams
  • Custom domain name with 50 email accounts,
  • An account manager plus priority support
  • No third-party advertising or sponsored content
  • Best-in-class transaction fees from as little as 2% + 18p

Upgrade the club's website package

Step-by-step guide:

  • Go to your club admin dashboard
  • Click 'Manage Package' in the left-hand menu
  • Click 'Choose package' next to either Standard or Pro
  • The default payment option is payment by credit card (click 'Pay by Direct Debit' if that is the preferred option (Direct Debit via GoCardless is available to clubs in the U.K. only)
  • Choose annual or monthly payment and fill in your card details
  • Tick 'I have read and agree to the Terms of Service
  • Click 'Upgrade package'

The club will be subscribed to the package chosen and billed automatically as to the billing interval selected, monthly or annual.

The club can see when the next payment is due to be taken on the Invoices page within the Packages section.

Package trials and coupons

Package trials

New clubs can activate a free 30 day trial of the Standard or Pro package and see the benefits of the package selected.

Once the 30 day trial has ended, the first package payment will be collected automatically from the bank card listed on the Payment Methods page. Should the club not wish to continue on the package beyond the trial period, the club just needs to request to cancel the package, providing 7 days notice prior to the first payment date. Please note:

Package trials are handled via the payment provider, Stripe. The club is required to enter a valid bank card in order to activate the package trial. The club is not able to activate a package trial via the payment provider, GoCardless.

Domain registration, SSL, and mailbox features are not available to clubs during a package trial, but will be available once the trial has ended and the first package payment has been completed.

Once the club has completed the 30 day trial, the club will not be eligible for another trial of the Standard or Pro package. Should the club have any questions or concerns before starting or during the package trial, be sure to contact our Support Team for more information.

Package coupons

Clubs that have been provided with a coupon code can use it when selecting the Standard or Pro package either as a new club when registering or as an existing club in the Packages area of the club admin dashboard. 

After entering the coupon in the voucher code field, the coupon will be validated by the system to see if it's accepted or not prior to the club completing the package change.

The club can see the use of the coupon in the Packages area of the club admin dashboard, including a description of the coupon and when the next payment is due (on the Invoices page).

Once the package coupon has expired, payments for the club's package will start/resume automatically from the bank card listed on the Payment Methods page. Should the club not wish to continue on the package beyond the period of the trial or coupon, the club just needs to request to cancel the package, providing 7 days notice prior to the first payment date. Please note:

Package coupons are handled via the payment provider, Stripe. The club is required to enter a valid bank card in order to activate a package with a coupon code. The club is not able to activate a package with a coupon code via the payment provider, GoCardless.

If the club completes any changes to the package while a coupon is applied to the existing subscription, the use of the coupon may not be valid anymore and the club may be charged automatically for the full price of the new package. Downgrade package

Step-by-step guide:

  • Go to club admin dashboard
  • Click 'Manage Package' in the left-hand menu
  • Click 'Choose package' to downgrade to the Standard package

Downgrading specifically means moving from a higher paid package to a lower paid package.

Pro-rata agreement

You can switch between different paid package plans at any time in your club admin dashboard.

When upgrading or downgrading between paid package tiers, you will receive either a prorated charge or credit, depending on the cost of the new package plan.

If you're paying with a bank card via Stripe, you can upgrade and downgrade between different paid package plans - the pro-rata system will account for the remaining time and only charge (or credit) you the difference.

Example:

The club moves from Standard to Pro with 6 months left on the Standard annual package. Rather than changing the billing date for the Pro annual package to now, Pitchero will charge an adjustment fee to take the club up to the Pro package for the remainder of the billing period - so a club isn't out of pocket. The club will then be charged for the Pro annual package 12 months after the Standard annual payment.

Please note:

GoCardless does not have a pro-rata agreement in place. If your club upgrades or downgrades mid-way through the billing term, your club will not automatically be charged or credited the difference.
