Manage package subscription

This article covers the package subscriptions that Pitchero offers as well as how to upgrade, downgrade and cancel.

Overview (package tiers and upgrading)

Sign up for free or start a 30 day free trial with the Elite (£30/month) or Ultimate (£90/month) package. If your club is based outside of the UK, the currency will reflect this in your club control panel.

There are core features that all packages include: Club website, Club app, Manager app, Video, Membership, Payments and Retail. See a full comparison between packages.

The Free package is limited to 1 team, offers membership management, has online payments to buy and sell products and a Pitchero transaction fee of 2.9% (plus payment provider fee).

The Elite package has unlimited teams, a custom domain name with 5 email accounts, support from an expert to manage your membership database, no side or full-page advertising, logo refresh and a Pitchero transaction fee of 1.9% (plus payment provider fee)

The Ultimate package has unlimited teams, a custom domain name with 40 email accounts, support from an expert to manage your membership database, no third-party advertising or sponsored content, logo refresh and a Pitchero transaction fee of 0.9% (plus payment provider fee)

Upgrade package

Step-by-step guide:

  • Go to your club control panel
  • Click 'Upgrades and Invoices' in the left-hand menu
  • Click 'Choose package' next to either Elite or Ultimate
  • The default payment option is payment by credit card (Stripe), click 'Pay by Direct Debit' (via GoCardless) if that is the preferred option
  • Choose annual or monthly payment and fill in your card details
  • Tick 'I have read and agree to the Terms of Service
  • Click 'Upgrade package'

Downgrade package

Step-by-step guide:

  • Go to your club control panel
  • Click 'Upgrades and Invoices' in the left-hand menu
  • Click 'Choose package' to downgrade to Elite

Downgrading specifically means to move from a higher paid package to a lower paid package. If your club is looking to move to Free, please see cancel your package with Pitchero.

Pro-rata agreement

You can switch between different paid package plans at any time if your club control panel.

When upgrading or downgrading, you will receive either a prorated charge or credit, depending on the cost of the new plan.

If you're paying with a bank card via Stripe, you can upgrade and downgrade between different paid package plans - the pro-rata system will account for the remaining time and only charge (or credit) you the difference.

Example:

Your club moves from Elite to Ultimate with 6 months left of the annual Elite billing term. Rather than changing the billing date, Pitchero will charge an adjustment fee to take the club up to the cost of an Ultimate package, until the next billing date - so a club isn't out of pocket.

Please note:

GoCardless does not have a pro-rata agreement in place. If your club upgrades or downgrades mid-way through the billing term, your club will not automatically be charged or credited the difference.
