Mailboxes and forwarders

This article provides information on using the new club email provider on Pitchero and Plesk.

Quick links:

Overview

Clubs that have registered or transferred their domain name to Pitchero can use the email service connected to the domain registration.

The number of email addresses that the club can create is based on the club's website package subscription.

  • Standard - 10 mailboxes
  • Pro - 50 mailboxes

For more information, see the Packages area of the club's admin dashboard.

Please note:

To create a new email address associated with the club's domain name, the domain name must be registered to Pitchero.

Clubs using a domain name that is managed externally to the Pitchero system cannot use the email feature available.

Access the email provider dashboard

Webmasters with access to the Settings area of the Pitchero club admin dashboard are able to access the third-party Plesk email dashboard (via the Email Addresses page on Pitchero) to create, update and remove email addresses associated with the club's domain name.

Clubs will not have direct access to the Plesk email dashboard, but use a magic-link from the Email Addresses page on Pitchero based on having access to the Settings area already.

Individual mailbox holders can access their mailbox via the webmail portal, and/or securely connect the mailbox to an external device.

Connect a mailbox to an external device

Mailboxes created in the club control panel can be configured to a secure mail client. This means you don't necessarily need to log in to the mail account each time you wish to view or send an email.

Information ordinarily required to configure a mailbox:

  • The email address (e.g. secretary@clubname.co.uk)
  • The password for the mailbox
  • Incoming IMAP server - imap.phsecure.com - Port 993

    Outgoing SMTP server - smtp.phsecure.com - Port 465
