To do this: - You need access to the registrar control panel for your domain name - The club needs to be on the Standard or Pro package - The club cannot have a different domain name attached to the website --- ### Configure the domain name with the current registrar Step-by-step guide: - Access the Advanced DNS settings within your domain registrar's control panel. (A domain name registrar is a company that manages the purchase of domain names) - Add the following DNS record listed in the Settings area of your club admin dashboard (the record value is unique to the club). - Record Name - \_pitchero-challenge - Record type - TXT - Record value - see the value in the club admin dashboard - The newly added DNS record will need to propagate before the domain is ready to be connected to Pitchero. This can take up to 24 hours but is usually quicker. --- ### Connect the domain name to the website In order to connect your domain name to your Pitchero Club website, you need to have first completed the steps outlined in [Configure the domain name with the current registrar](https://help.pitchero.com/knowledge/connect-domain#P2). Step-by-step guide: - Go to your club admin dashboard - Click '**Settings**' from the left-hand menu - Click '**Domain** **name**'' from the sub-menu - Click '**Connect** **my** **existing** **domain**' - Enter your '**Domain** **Name**' - Click '**Save**' **Please** **note**: Domain configurations can take **up to 24 hours** to complete and you may experience downtime on your website while this is processing. --- ### Remove an existing domain If you have a new domain or wish to remove your domain from Pitchero you can do this via your control panel.  Step-by-step guide: - Go to your club admin dashboard - Click '**Settings**' from the left-hand menu - Click '**Domain** **name**'' from the sub-menu - Click '**Remove** **domain**' **Please note**: Removal of a domain may lead to accessibility issues with your domain, please only remove your domain if you intend to. --- ### Domain renewal There is an option to transfer the domain name to Pitchero. In doing so, Pitchero will take care of the registration and upkeep of the domain name.
