Managing members in the Teamer App

This article provides information on managing members and groups in the Teamer app.

Overview

Just as you're able to manage your team from the Teamer website, you're able to do so from the Teamer App too!

This can be great when you need to make a quick team adjustment when you're on the go, or if you're adding a new member to your team when you're at an event.

Add a member

Step-by-step guide: 

  • Go to your team page 
  • Tap 'Members'
  • Tap '+' 
  • Tap 'Add new member' 
    • You can also import from your contact list using 'Import from contacts'  
  • Enter the member's details you wish to invite
    • First name and last name
    • Email address and/or phone number
  • Repeat for any other members you wish to invite
  • Tap 'Done'  

    Removing a player from a team 

    Step-by-step guide: 

    • Go to your team page 
    • Tap 'Members' at the bottom of the screen
    • Find the member you wish to remove
    • Tap on the member's name
    • Tab the 'bin' icon and confirm you wish to remove them

    If you are the sole team admin, do not delete your own membership as this will leave the team with no team admin and you will need to re-create the team. 

    Send a Teamtalk message

    Posting a Teamtalk message is a great way to keep in touch with your members. Teamtalks can be posted by Team Admins and members with Teamtalk manager permissions.

    Step-by-step guide:

    • Open the Teamer app and go to your team page
    • Tap 'Teamtalk' at the bottom of the screen
    • Tap the '+' icon in the top right corner of the screen to post a new Teamtalk message
    • Enter the title and message for the Teamtalk
    • Toggle to allow/not allow comments on the post
    • Tap 'Done' in the top right corner of the screen to post the message
    • To notify specific/all members of the message, tap 'Select Recipients'
    • Select the members to notify (or tap 'Check all' to select all members of the team)
    • Tap 'Send' in the top right corner of the screen to notify members

    The selected members will receive a push notification to the Teamer app and/or an email notifying them of the update.
