Manage messages in the Club app
This article provides information viewing and sending messages using the Pitchero Club app.

Overview
Authorised members of the club can send messages to other club members. Users with only the Supporter role cannot send messages to other members and admins, but can respond to messages sent to them.
From other club members to team admins you're able to create:
- Private messages for one to one conversations
- Group conversations with your other club members

Webmasters with access to Communication and Team Admins can send club-wide messages using the Communication area within the club admin dashboard or the Announcements feature on the Pitchero Club app.
Please note:
Users with only the Supporter role cannot send messages to other members and admins at the club, but can respond to messages sent to them from an authorised member/admin of the club.
If your account currently has the Supporter role, but you have applied for other roles with the club, the role application(s) need to be moderated by the club before you can message other members of the club on Pitchero.
You can contact the club directly regarding enquiries and any pending role applications.
View and reply to a message
Step-by-step guide:
- Open the Pitchero Club app
- Tap the 'Messages' icon at the bottom of the screen
- Tap the conversation you wish to view or reply to.
To reply in the message thread:
- Tap the message box icon
- Enter your message
- Tap 'Send'
Sending a message to one member
Step-by-step guide:
- Open the Pitchero Club app
- Tap the 'Messages' icon at the bottom of the screen
- Tap the 'pencil' icon towards the bottom corner of the screen
- Search for a member and tap their name
- Enter your message
- Tap 'Send'

Sending a message to multiple members (Group messaging)
Step-by-step guide:
- Open the Pitchero Club app
- Tap the 'Messages' icon at the bottom of the screen
- Tap the 'pencil' icon towards the bottom right corner of the screen
- Tap 'New Group'
- Select the members you wish to add to the message group
- Tap the tick icon in the top right corner of the screen
- Enter the message group name
- Tap the tick icon in the top right corner of the screen
- Enter your message
- Tap 'Send'

Adding a new member to a message group
Step-by-step guide:
- Open the Pitchero Club app
- Tap the 'Messages' icon at the bottom of the screen
- Tap the message thread you wish to manage
- Tap the 'three dots' menu icon in the top right corner of the screen
- Tap 'Add members'
- Tap the name of the member(s) that you wish to add to the message group
- Use the search option to help find the member(s)
- Tap the 'Tick' icon in the top right corner of the screen
The new member(s) will be added to the existing message group.
Removing a member from a message group
Step-by-step guide:
- Open the Pitchero Club app
- Tap the 'Messages' icon at the bottom of the screen
- Tap the message thread you wish to manage
- Tap the 'three dots' menu icon in the top right corner of the screen
- Tap on the member's name that you wish to remove from the message group
- Tap 'Remove [member's name]'
The member will be removed from the existing message group.
Disable message notifications
Step-by-step guide:
- Open the Pitchero Club app
- Tap the 'Messages' icon at the bottom of the screen
- Tap the message thread you wish to manage
- Tap the 'three dots' menu icon in the top right corner of the screen
- Tap 'Disable Notifications'
- Select how long you wish to disable notifications for this message thread for
Mark all messages as read
If you have lots of unread messages in your Pitchero account (that you don't intend to read), there is a tool on the mobile app to mark them all as read.
Step-by-step guide:
- Open the Pitchero Club app
- Tap the 'Messages' icon at the bottom of the screen
- Tap the select icon towards the bottom of the screen (to the left of 'New Message')
- If your account has the Team Admin or Webmaster role with the club (and you have unread messages in your account), the select icon will be replaced with an options menu (three vertical dots), then tap 'Mark all as read'
- Tap 'YES' to confirm you wish to mark all messages with the club as read
The screen will reload and clear the badge notifications for the Messages icon of your account.
If your account is linked to multiple clubs, you need to complete this action per individual club.
