Overview

Clubs that have registered or transferred their domain name to Pitchero can use the email service connected to the domain registration.

The number of mailboxes and forwarders is based you can create is based on the club's website package subscription. For more information, go to the Packages area of your club control panel.

Please Note:

To create a mailbox or a forwarder with Pitchero your domain must be registered to Pitchero.

Create a new mailbox

Step-by-step guide:

  • Go to your club control panel
  • Click 'Settings' from the left-hand menu
  • Click 'Email Address' from the sub-menu
  • Click 'Add Mailbox'
  • Enter the email username (e.g. secretary@clubname.co.uk)
  • Enter the 'Notification Email'
  • Enter your 'First Name'
  • Enter your 'Last Name'
  • Click 'Save'

An email will be automatically generated to the notification email address entered to set up a password for the mailbox.

Please note:

A custom email address cannot be both a mailbox and a forwarder.

Login to the mailbox

Step-by-step guide:

  • Go to your club control panel
  • Click 'Settings' from the left-hand menu
  • Click 'Email address' from the sub-menu
  • Click 'Login to webmail'
  • Enter the user name (email address) and password
  • Click 'Sign in'

If you are not able to log in to the mailbox, click 'Forgot your password' to reset the password on the mailbox.

Configure the mailbox to an external mail client

Mailboxes created in the club control panel can be configured to a secure mail client. This means you don't necessarily need to log in to the mail account each time you wish to view or send an email.

Information ordinarily required to configure a mailbox:

  • The email address (e.g. secretary@clubname.co.uk)
  • The password for the mailbox
  • Incoming IMAP server - us2.imap.mailhostbox.com - Port 143
  • Outgoing SMTP server - us2.smtp.mailhostbox.com - Port 587

Add a forwarder

Step-by-step guide:

  • Go to your club control panel
  • Click 'Settings' from the left-hand menu
  • Click 'Email address' from the sub-menu
  • Click 'Add forwarder'
  • Enter the email username (e.g. under16s@clubname.co.uk)
  • Add the email address(es) you wish to forward emails to
  • Click 'Save'

Please note:

A custom email address cannot be both a mailbox and a forwarder.

Remove a mailbox

Step-by-step guide:

  • Go to your club control panel
  • Click 'Settings' from the left-hand menu
  • Click 'Email Address' from the sub-menu
  • Click 'Delete' on the mailbox you wish to remove
  • Click 'Ok'

Remove an email forwarder

Step-by-step guide:

  • Go to your club control panel
  • Click 'Settings' from the left-hand menu
  • Click 'Email Address' from the sub-menu
  • Click 'Delete' on the forwarder you wish to remove
  • Click 'Ok'
