Now that you have decided what types of content you would like your Homepage to display, you may wish to control the order (or priority) in which your content appears on the Features Content section of the Homepage.
(If you have yet to edit these settings please see - How do I change what displays in the Featured Content section of my Homepage?)
Go into your Control Panel and select Site Content and then Recent Activity.
You will then be displayed with any content you have added to your site.
Any content you have chosen not to display in the Featured Content section will show greyed out.
In this instance, we chose to omit videos, meaning the clip of a goal vs Blackburn does not show.
This screen shows whether you have decided to show certain content in your feed or not. It also shows whether you have decided to 'promote' this content or not.
These are the buttons that dictate which specific pieces of content you choose to display on your Featured Content feed.
By clicking on the 'Show in feed' yes or no options, you can decide whether to show this content in the feed.
If you select 'No' This content will still display on your site, just not on the Featured Content feed on your Homepage.
For example, clicking 'No' to 'Show in feed' for a match report will remove this from the Homepage, but it will still be visible in the Match Reports section of the Teams tab.
This way you can keep your Homepage up to date with only the most relevant and desired content, while still keeping the information you need on the site.
You can also 'Promote' your content.
This means you can keep 'Promoted' content at the top of the Featured Content feed of your Homepage for as long as you like, regardless of the date it was published.
This can be great for important club news that may need to be visible to website users for a long period of time, or just to keep something more important at the top of the Featured Content feed.
In order to this, you need to ensure that 'Promoted' is enabled.
This will show in your feed above all other content.
Please note: Do not promote more than 4 items within this area, if you do it will lead to new articles not been viewed by users on the homepage.
