Getting Started on the Homepage

A Pitchero club website is the perfect place to provide interesting content to new and existing members.

If you want your members to access this content on a regular basis, it's important to get their attention straight away - this is where your engaging homepage content is key!

A homepage that is engaging makes it more appealing for your members to click through to read the full items.

This means that more of your club messages are being received by members, plus the site will receive more page visits and should shoot up the Pitchero Rankings system.

Editing the colour of your website

It might sound simple, but choosing the correct colours for the site is crucial.

You'll want to make sure the colours are associated to your team, but think twice if your club colours can make content hard to read.

Changing your Header Image

There are different ways you can use the header image to engage visitors, depending on the package that your club subscribes to.

As well as an enhanced design, the header can be used to advertise a number of things such as:

- Sponsors
- Events
- Affiliations
- Awards

Use the header as a placement for your headline sponsor - This area is really attractive to sponsors, as they will be visible on all pages throughout the site.

Adding Homepage Slides can certainly brighten up your website.

You can also add in clickable links within the images, possibly to a sponsors website or a team page.

Edit Homepage Recent Activity

The activity feed section of the site is a great way for your members to keep up-to-date with what's happening at the club.

For some clubs, however, it is important to have a little more control over what appears in the activity feed when it first loads - e.g. club news.

If this is the case for your club, use the edit option next to the activity feed to select the activity type you want to show as default.
